This first-of-its-kind resource, accessible at heatpumpkit.com, guides users through a simplified four-step process to pinpoint the ideal heat pump system for a specific dwelling, culminating in the assembly of a comprehensive kit containing all the essential components for a seamless installation by heating engineers.
Developed by City Plumbing’s in-house digital and heat pump technical teams, the tool empowers users to confidently select a suitable air source heat pump system for any property, ensuring adequate output based on calculated heat loss. Hemal Morjaria, Managing Director of City Plumbing's Renewables and Electrical division, emphasises the significance of this streamlined approach:
“Procuring the right system, complete with all necessary components for a successful installation, is paramount for heating engineers. We've simplified this process by creating an online basket that automatically includes all required products.”
Morjaria further addresses common misconceptions surrounding heat pumps: “There's a prevailing notion that heat pumps aren't suitable for many homes or that they underperform once installed. However, this often stems from an initial mismatch between the chosen system and the specific needs of the home and its occupants. Our new tool eliminates this guesswork.”
Once the heat loss is determined, heatpumpkit.com prompts the user to select a preferred brand before presenting a range of heat pump options with sufficient output.
