What Are the Main Differences Between a Guest, Cash, and a Credit Account?
Before choosing how to shop at City Plumbing, it's helpful to understand the differences between the available account types. City Plumbing offers three ways to shop, depending on how often you buy and whether you need credit:
- Guest Account: Ideal for occasional or one-off DIY projects. This option provides standard retail pricing, free delivery on orders over £75 (ex. VAT), and access to thousands of products. No registration is required to browse, but creating an account enables you to track your order history.
- Cash Account: Designed for regular tradespeople. Offers custom trade pricing, Rewards points, and pay-as-you-go purchases.
- Credit Account: Includes Cash Account benefits plus a monthly-billed credit limit (usually 30 days+), VAT statement downloads, online invoice management, and consolidated payment options.

Yes. If you hold a Trade Cash account, you may apply to upgrade to a Credit account by completing a Credit Account Application form, available as a PDF on the website or in-branch. Upon credit team review and approval, your account will be transitioned, and you will receive your credit limit.

My City Plumbing Rewards (formerly Plumbers' Perks) is our loyalty program. To join:
- Register Online: Visit the Rewards on our website and link your trade account.
- In-Branch: Request a registration form from your local Branch Manager.
Note: An active Trade Cash or Credit account is required to participate. Once registered, you’ll earn 1 point for every £1 spent on qualifying products.

Yes. The City Plumbing app, available on iOS and Android, is fully integrated. You can log in with your existing account details to:
- View your custom trade prices.
- Check your credit balance or pay invoices.

- Place orders for Click & Collect or for delivery.

While anyone may purchase as a guest, the Cash and Credit accounts at City Plumbing are classified as Trade Accounts. To qualify for trade pricing and rewards, you’re generally expected to work in the plumbing, heating, or electrical trades. However, strict certification is not typically required for a Cash account; it serves primarily to identify regular business customers.
