Delivery Process Steps

Getting your products from City Plumbing is simple. Follow these three steps to get what you need, when you need it.
1. Choose Your Delivery Slot
After adding items to your basket, select Delivery. Choose from available service levels, including next-working-day delivery for stocked items, to fit your project schedule.

2. Secure Checkout
Review your order and enter your delivery address. Pay quickly by credit/debit card or City Plumbing Trade Account. After confirmation, you’ll get an email with your order details and tracking reference.

3. Reliable Site Delivery
Let our delivery team handle the rest. We deliver to your home or site, ensuring safe and timely arrival. For large items, our specialist fleet manages offloading professionally.

Delivery Costs

We aim to keep our delivery pricing straightforward so you can budget accurately for every job. For the majority of our orders, standard delivery is :

Please note that on occasion, a product may incur an additional charge if we need to source it from our supplier.

Delivery Days and Times

We deliver Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) to support your projects during the working week.
  • Standard Hours: Deliveries typically take place between 07:30 and 17:00.
  • Next Day Delivery: Order by 5:00 PM Monday–Friday for delivery on the next working day (subject to stock availability).

Where is My Order?

The "Self-Service" Tracker
Track your order in real-time via our Track My Order portal. Enter your order number and email to locate your supplies. You can also find a tracking link in your dispatch confirmation email.

Delivery Locations & Exceptions

City Plumbing delivers to all mainland locations in England, Scotland, and Wales, as well as the Isle of Wight. However, we’re unable to deliver to Northern Ireland or certain remote postcodes in the IV and PH areas (listed below). If you’re in one of these excluded zones, please use our Click & Collect service at your nearest branch to obtain the materials you need.

When can you deliver my order?
We deliver Monday-Friday (except Bank Holidays), between 07:30-17:00. In your basket, you will be given an estimated delivery date & during checkout you can select a different delivery option, if available.
How long will my order take to be delivered?
For standard delivery, we estimate orders to arrive in up to 5 working days.
Next day delivery orders, when ordered by 5pm, will aim to be delivered on the next working day.
For the overwhelming majority of orders, we will meet the estimated delivery timescales we give you. However, there may be some times when your order cannot be delivered on the estimated delivery date. We will keep you informed if we make any changes to your delivery date.
Is there a minimum order value?
There is no minimum order value required for delivery.
All Customers will be charged £9 (ex. VAT) for delivery or will receive free delivery on orders over £75 (ex. VAT).
What if I need to change or cancel an order?
If you placed your order in branch, you will need to speak directly to the branch.

What is a curbside delivery?
Curbside delivery means the driver will deliver your order to the nearest safe access point at your address (the curb, your driveway, or outside your gate).
  • The Driver’s Role: They’re responsible for removing the goods from the vehicle and placing them on the ground.
  • Your Role: For safety and insurance reasons, drivers generally cannot enter your home, carry items up stairs, or navigate around the back of a property. You'll be responsible for moving the items from the curb into your property.
Top Tip: If you’ve ordered heavy items like radiators, boilers, or large lengths of trunking, make sure you have someone on-site to help you move them.
Why is my order in two deliveries?
It’s quite common for orders to be split. This usually happens for one of two reasons:
  1. Stock Locations: Part of your order might be in stock at your local CPS branch, while the rest is coming from a National Distribution Centre.
  2. Specialist Items: If you’ve ordered a mix of standard parts and specialised equipment (like a bespoke bathroom vanity), they may ship separately to ensure the standard items reach you as quickly as possible.
What if my delivery is coming from a supplier?
Sometimes City Plumbing acts as the middleperson for specialised products. If an item is coming directly from a supplier:
  • Different Lead Times: These items usually have longer delivery windows (e.g. 5–10 working days) than standard branch stock.
  • Direct Communication: The supplier’s own courier service will often contact you directly via SMS or phone to arrange a specific delivery date.
  • Additional Charges: On rare occasions, sourcing a specific part directly from a supplier may incur a separate supplier direct delivery fee. However, this will always be shown in your basket before you pay.
