Solfex Cylinders
Solfex cylinders are specifically designed to optimise the performance of air and ground source heat pumps for domestic hot water (DHW) production. As specialised hot water storage solutions, these cylinders are crucial for efficient heat pump systems.
Designed to effectively transfer heat from the lower temperatures generated by heat pumps to provide ample hot water, Solfex cylinders are available in various capacities, ranging from 120 litres to 300 litres, to suit different household sizes and hot water demands.
Solfex cylinders are typically supplied with a comprehensive unvented kit. This means many of the common accessories for unvented cylinders are already included, simplifying installation and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations Part G. Unvented components here include an inlet control group (pressure reducing valve, expansion relief), an expansion vessel, a tundish, a dual probe thermostat, a 28mm 2-port zone valve, and a 3kW immersion heater.
Solfex Heat Pump Feet
Solfex heat pump feet are essential accessories designed to support and stabilise air source heat pumps. They’re typically sold as a pair and come with the necessary bolts and fixings for installation. Offering a practical solution for safely and effectively installing outdoor heat pump units, they contribute to longevity and efficient operation by minimising vibration, protecting against corrosion, and ensuring proper drainage.
Made using heavy-duty recycled SBR vulcanised rubber, their primary function is to provide a stable base for the heat pump, preventing it from falling over and ensuring secure mounting on the ground. Significantly reducing noise and vibration transmitted from the heat pump to the ground, heat pump feet help to protect the unit from corrosion caused by direct contact with moisture.
