Overview
A Gate Valve provides a way to shut off the flow of water within a pipe system and gets its name from the type of blockage that it provides. As the valve is tightened, a gate is lowered in to the flow of water. Gate valves are generally not suitable for the regulation of flow or pressure and should be left open or closed, not partially open. When open, Gate valves offer little resistance to flow of water and, when closed, they stop the flow of water up to the designated pressure rating. This Westco Gate Type Pump Valve can be used on 22mm tubing and has a max pressure rating of 10 Bar.
