Valor Ignition and ionisation units are fitted near to the electrode. The spark that starts combustion inside the burner is produced by an ignition (spark) electrode, and flame-sensing electrodes are in charge of determining if a flame is actually present in the burner to prevent the boiler from continuing to provide gas in the absence of a flame.
