Dow Corning Firestop 400 is an intumescent acrylic sealant for internal applications designed to keep fire walls or partitions intact. Under fire conditions, Dow Corning Firestop 400 does not emit halogenated by products.
- Tested to B.S.476 part 22: 1987
- Developed to maintain the integrity of fire walls or partitions
- Up to 4 hour fire rating can be achieved
- Class 2 classification for surface spread of flame
- Extreme temperature resistant, mildew resistant, mould growth resistant, ozone resistant and ultaviolet radiation resistant
- Tack free time is from 30 to 45 minutes
- Good unprimed adhesion to most construction substrates
- Uses involve internal perimeter pointing around door and window frames and in joints formed where fire rated partition sections meet
