He further highlighted the company's unique blend of ambition and its people-centric approach, stating, "What sets this business apart is its focus on people – customers, colleagues, and supplier partners. I've personally experienced the welcoming and approachable culture of the business since starting my role. There's a genuine desire to collaborate for the benefit of the customer."
Sarkar and his team will prioritise understanding and adapting to the evolving needs of customers, offering greater value and efficiency in the fast-paced plumbing and heating market. His appointment also coincides with a crucial period for energy efficiency, given the recent rise in the UK Energy Cap and the ongoing consultation for the Future Homes and Buildings Standards.
"Another key priority for me will be supporting the continued growth of our well-established Renewables division," Sarkar added. "We want to help our customers, and theirs, navigate the shifting landscape of lower-temperature heating systems and embrace the opportunities this presents."
Adam Foy, Chief Commercial Officer at City Plumbing, welcomed Sarkar's appointment: “Dominic's arrival is a significant gain for our business. He brings a wealth of experience and shares our focus on innovation and customer-centricity. He is also a strong advocate for inclusivity and teamwork, which are core values at City Plumbing.
