Vaillant are delighted to announce the launch of a range of RCD accessories, proudly supporting our installers to fully comply with correct electrical protection of heat pump installations.
A Type B RCD should be used on any circuit supplying Vaillant heat pumps, this due to the use of inverter technology. This requirement is highlighted in our manufacturer instructions. This takes into account the requirements of the wiring regulations to choose the correct RCD depending on their behaviour in the presence of DC components, frequencies and manufacturer’s instructions.

- HagerType B HP RCD rated at 63 A, suitable for all Vaillant heat pumps
- Housed in a dedicated consumer unit, certified as a complete assembly to BS EN61439. Designed for ASHPs but also suitable for EV charging and Solar PV installations
- Detect AC, pulsating DC, and smooth DC residual current faults
- Operate at frequencies greater than 20 kHz, with a minimum tripping threshold of 150 mA above 1 kHz.1x 16A Type C 6kA MCB
