The Grohe diverter valve is an instrument that is only found on a combi boiler, which is designed to allow hot water to be redirected to either the radiators for central heating or to the taps for hot water. Due to the diverter valve providing hot water to both central heating and taps without a cylinder, this is what distinguishes a combi boiler from regular boilers.
