Overview
The Glow-worm condensate trap isolates the discharge which builds up in the primary heating and cooling system. This is caused by the fluctuations in the pressure and temperature within those systems. A discharge pipe connected to the condensate trap then allows any held water passage out of the property. Due to carbon dioxide from the boiler dissolving in the water, condensate trap water may have low quantities of acid. Discharge pipes are almost never made of any material other than plastic because the water could eventually corrode a metal pipe.
