Overview
The Buderus automatic air vent is a safety feature built into the central heating system. They function by releasing trapped air using buoyancy. A float within the automatic air vent opens or closes depending on the water level as water flows through the heating and cooling system. If there is no air in the system, the float will be pushed to the top and the vent will be closed until the water level falls.
