John Guest Speedfit Layflat polybutylene barrier pipe coil is more flexible than regular polybutylene and PEX pipe, which speeds up and simplifies cable routing through joists and long pipe lengths. When compared to standard copper pipe systems, the pipe's flexibility considerably reduces the requirement for Push-Fit fittings, which results in labour and cost savings. The John Guest Layflat polybutylene barrier pipe coil "lays flat and stays flat" when detached from the coil. Therefore, there are no problems with the pipe maintaining its memory and attempting to coil back into position. The pipe is composed of five layers, the middle of which is a coloured oxygen barrier to stop air from entering the system and lessen the impact of corrosion on metal components.
