Overview
The Ideal condensate outlet connection within the condensate trap section isolates the discharge which begins to build in the primary heating and cooling system. This is caused by the fluctuations in the pressure and temperature within those systems. A discharge pipe connected to the condensate trap then allows any held water passage out of the property. The water inside a condensate trap can be mildly acidic due to carbon dioxide dissolving in it. This discharge pipe is rarely made of anything other than plastic, as this water could damage a metal pipe over time.
