Overview
The Baxi has two different types of electrodes, ignition electrodes and flame detecting electrodes. The ignition or spark electrode generates the spark that begins the combustion procedure within the boiler. The flame sensing electrodes are responsible for creating the spark that starts the burner. This is an important task and if the flame is not detected, the boiler knows to re-attempt ignition.
