The Alpha seal kit is based around the diverter valve section. The diverter valve is a mechanism found only in combi boilers. It allows hot water to be directed to the central heating system or the domestic hot water system. This feature is what makes a combi boiler so popular because it can provide hot water and heating without the use of a cylinder.
