Google Nest Protect is a smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarm that helps protect your home for up to 10 years and sends you alerts to your phone . It looks like a fast-burning, invisible carbon monoxide with its built-in Split-Spectrum Sensor. It knows the difference between steam and an emergency situation, so there is no waving the tea towel to hush a false alarm. It speaks up to tell you if there is a problem and where it is and will give you a friendly heads-up before it sounds the alarm so you can hush it from your phone, wherever you are. With Nest Protect, you get extra peace of mind as it tests itself over 400 times a day and shows you everything is working with a quick green glow when you turn off the lights. At night, it lights itself up when you walk past, acting like your very own night light. Because this version is battery-powered, it can be positioned anywhere in the home and only takes a few minutes to install. Mobile alerts require a compatible smart device and an Internet connection.
